Frequently asked questions

Common questions about what ChillOps is, how it handles refrigerant records, pricing, and support.

Who is ChillOps for?

HVAC and refrigeration service businesses with 2-20 technicians that want dispatch, equipment history, refrigerant records, and invoicing in one system. It is not a fit for one-person shops that don't need scheduling, or for national contractors that need multi-branch rollups.

How is ChillOps different from ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro, or Jobber?

ChillOps treats refrigerant records and EPA-aware workflow as native to the job close, not as a bolt-on module. It also ships without a six-month implementation — early customers get founder-led onboarding instead of an enterprise rollout.

Does ChillOps file EPA reports for me?

No. ChillOps structures the operational record — quantity added and recovered, leak context, equipment-level history — so the data is audit-ready. It does not replace EPA Section 608 technician certification and does not file regulatory reports on your behalf.

Can I migrate my existing customer and equipment data?

Yes, import of customer and equipment records is supported. The scope and format depend on what your current system exports; email support@getchillops.com and the founder will help scope the migration directly.

What refrigerants does ChillOps track?

ChillOps does not restrict refrigerant types — you record whatever refrigerant the unit uses (common examples: R-410A, R-454B, R-32, R-22 on legacy equipment). Records are kept by type, quantity, and equipment.

How does payment collection work?

Invoices are sent with a Stripe-hosted payment link. The customer pays on Stripe's page; ChillOps records the payment and updates invoice status. Card data is never handled by ChillOps or your shop.

Is there a mobile app?

ChillOps works in the browser on desktop and mobile. Technicians use it from their phone in the field without installing a native app.

How do I cancel?

Cancel from Settings → Billing or by emailing support@getchillops.com. Cancellation stops future renewals at the end of the current billing period.
